If you’ve ever fumbled with your winch hook during an evening off-roading session or struggled to get your winch line spooled correctly in the dark recesses of your race trailer, then this lighted fairlead from Factor 55 is going to alleviate a lot of headaches.

As you’d guess, the fairlead has an integrated LED array right up top, which makes it really easy to see your winch hook and line while you’re on a canopy-covered trail or in an enclosed vehicle trailer.

But what’s even better is that the light bar projects forward AND also sends light back onto the winch drum so you can ensure your winch line is spooling properly.

What’s even neater is that the LED array itself can be switched from white to amber, and it has an IP86 waterproof rating, so you know it’ll be able to handle whatever kind of muck, grit, and weather Mother Nature throws at it.

The electrical hookup is easy, featuring weatherproof Deutsch connectors, and Factor 55 includes a wiring harness with a fused circuit and hole-mount rocker switch.

And since this is Factor 55 we’re talking about, the fairlead is designed with anvil-like durability. It’s made from one inch thick T6 aluminum with a stout anodized coating to mitigate corrosion and keep it looking pretty for a long, long time. The mounting holes are spaced 10 inches apart, making it compatible with many common winch mounts and bumpers on the market.

Long story (kinda) short, it you’re tired of holding a flashlight in your teeth as you spool-out your winch line, then this lighted fairlead from Factor 55 is a smart alternative. Check the pricing and availability at Summit Racing by clicking the part number below.
